I have been working at Tufts University full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

The mission of Tufts is clear and readily available. Tufts is very supportive of their employees, while maintaining a focus on the students.

Cons

I've yet to have a positive experience working with HR in terms of attempting to move forward.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Longevity of employees is good for Tufts, but only when they continue to grow and learn. Too many employees maintain a status quo approach rather than think outside of the box.

I worked at Tufts University full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits and you can't beat the opportunity to take classes for free.

    Cons

There aren't any opportunities for growth and management overloads employees to the point of exhaustion at times. I can't speak on the entire University, but within my department, there is a reluctance to promote even the exemplary employees, and the employees end up leaving for other companies where they are appreciated and paid more.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do better by your staff so they are more likely to stay.
