I have been working at Tulane Medical Center

    Pros

Pay is good, but for a reason...sure, you will learn alot, but don't expect any help from anyone because everyone is drowning.

    Cons

inadequate orientation, nurses are rude and leave work for the next shift. I wanted to cry everytime I had to go in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Teach nurses how to be tactful, tell them to do stat orders before giving report to oncoming shift. Make sure preceptors are actually precepting.

I worked at Tulane Medical Center full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Professional atmosphere, great resources and benefits.

    Cons

Hapless, uncaring management dedicated primarily to the corporate bottom line, much like most every large company these days. Forget about mutual loyalty and trust, those days are indeed gone for ever.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't be a YES-Man, and fight to defend and support those that have truly earned their seniority.
