I have been working at Tumi part-time (more than an year)

Pros

Great company to work for. I am working as a sales associate in the retail store. Nice people, laid back.

Cons

Only one person closes at a time. There are times where they aren't any customers for hours which can be very boring.

I worked at Tumi full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

As long as the team you are working with gets along, you will have no problems.
    -flexible scheduling
    -great discounts
    -tons of contests
    -team bonus
-great customers who know more about the product than you. You will get more male customers, who are better than females IMO.

    Cons

-pay was too low for this type of luxury category and position

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just pay your team more. I loved being with Tumi and would have stayed would they have been able to offer more pay than the recruiting company I was approached by.

    I worked at Tumi part-time

    Pros

Great hours for those with more than one career or any person in the arts. Great pay, clients are enthusiastic about the product, and Tumi is committed to their employees.

    Cons

The product training is "required" but they prefer you to just be on the floor and sell.
Some longer standing employees have a bit of an ego.
Full-time employees are more territorial when it comes to clients even though teamwork is a key lesson for Tumi training.

    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
