I have been working at Turner Broadcasting full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Cool brands, generous PTO, smart people.

Cons

Keep toxic employees on too long.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote people who can lead to mgt positions. Don't just offer management as reward for a job well done.

I have been working at Turner Broadcasting as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

Some very good people. Compensation perks (subsidized gym and transport, cultural discounts). Opportunities for moving to other positions within the company.

    Cons

Big media bureaucracy. Not a ton of top-down transparency. The separate companies under Turner don't always play nice together. Not much maternity or PTO. The "health savings plan" PPO is a total joke.

I have been working at Turner Broadcasting full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Very competitive compensation. Stability. Good people. Great benefits, nice perks. Very considerate of work-life balance.

    Cons

Slow-moving company, promotions do not come quickly. Overly conservative middle management - tendency to rinse and repeat. Not many younger employees moving upwards.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more open to new and different approaches, reward talent and execution more than seniority.
