I have been working at Tween Brands

Pros

It is a company that will allow growth from employees who deserve it. There is definite potential as long as each employee is willing to work. They try very hard to motivate, and make the working environment fun rather than feeling as though it is work.

Cons

There is always a downside to any job when dealing with customers and hard days. Compensation for lower level management is not excellent but it is a very enjoyable place to work so that almost compensates more than the pay.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ensuring that all employees are accountable for actions and that following up is done. There are a lot of young girls working in this store and many of them, this is their first job. Ensuring these employees are understanding the concepts of work is very vital for success.

I have been working at Tween Brands

    Pros

The people hired at Justice are great! It's a terrific atmosphere and it's almost always fun to work with the kids and their parents. Excellent job for high school and college students.

    Cons

The layout of the store is constantly changing, so it's often difficult to find what you're looking for. Customers can get rude, too, if you don't have a size or color they want, but situatiatons like that are typically easy to diffuse. Also, the music CD gets really old really fast.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide more organization for the store, and let your employees know when you get a new product in, so they're not clueless when a customer confronts them about it.

    I worked at Tween Brands

    Pros

It is alot of fun to work with the tween customer and get to know co-workers...I'm still friends with many from the company

    Cons

Retail is a tough gig! Tween Brands is no exception. It was a very tough workload, very unrealistic expectation balancing it all.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Too many different little things to fit neatly in one store. Pick the things that sell best and stick to that!! You are working your field to death without enough pay!
