ProsExcellent training opportunities, decent benefits, opportunities for high-profile and challenging projects, opportunity to gain relevent experience that allows one to become marketable

ConsIncompetent senior management and bad public relations leads to extremely poor employee morale. Uncertainity as to the future direction regarding size and scope of the organization.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to all employees and learn about complexity of issues that employyes are dealing with

Pros: Funding is dedicated by State Constitution (Hwy Fund 6) so agency does not have to compete with others for funding from General Revenue. TxDOT… Cons: Salaries are lower than similar in private sector and in some other Texas governmental entities.
