Pros

Good pay, all paid company vehicle, provided a lap-top computer, lots of opportunities / work will never dry up, great benefits, interesting work / not dull.

Cons

Lots of confusion from management, gps tracking system that they take too far, too many reports, unprofessional billing, unreasonable requests from time to tome.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take more interest in the technicians, give better incentives, understand more about what transpires on certain jobs, know your jobs better.

I have been working at Tyco

    Pros

It's a job, which, is better than not having one.

    Cons

Seems that some are favored over others based on how well you can hang out with the management or how pretty you might be, or cool. Based on previous management promotions, most all persons promoted lack the skills to do the job promoted too. Even when this is discovered, it takes way to long for the problem to be remedied. Another problem is the pawning off of duties. More and more sales persons at SimplexGrinnell are expected to cover the tasks of designer, and project manager while keeping the numbers high. This leads to much time spent working on parts ordering, scheduling, tracking down infomation, work that a project manager needs to do and gets paid well to do.
