I worked at Tyco full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Great environment, great mobility, fantastic people...a wonderful mix of challenge and reward along with day to day almost familial bonds with coworkers

Cons

Work Life balance is always a challenge. The constantly shifting priorities make it hard to keep an even keel and the last minute deadlines are always stressful

I worked at Tyco full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great wealth of strengths in what the company is capable of achieving.

    Cons

Too many accountants and kissers running the business - lack of leaders who really care about the shareholders and ROI.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

M&A growth has its limits - try to embrace the strategy to help generic growth and the revenues will follow.

I have been working at Tyco full-time

    Pros

    salary
    work life balance
    subsidized lunch (although pathetic)

    Cons

    uncertainty of work
    horrible cafeteria facilities (practically non-existent)
    age old desktops and laptops
lots and lots of politics between india and US (this is present in all companies but here, it is more severe than even services company, the guys in US donot trust folks back in india)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

By just giving salary and not adequate facilities to the employees, you cannot have a decent retention rate; And without people staying, this place cannot progress..
