The most dysfunctional & unethical place I've ever worked

I have been working at Tyco full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

They used to pay more in order to attract people to come after the Dennis K scandal. Now, they are putting forth a pay for performance plan, which means that some people maybe get a pay cut in 2013. It would be good if the measurement of performance is objective, but it isn't.

    Cons

Some good people, but overall, a lot of overpaid and under-performing "leader" (directors levels and up). I have never worked at a place in which I teach my bosses more than s/he can contribute to my work. There is constantly rumors that Tyco will be brought. I've never worked at a place that almost every major rumor came true. It's a matter of time. It's so sad to see everything you build constantly getting broken down because the org. is no unstable. It's very easy to have TWO full job here and you won' get extra incentives for doing the work. What's worse is that you are given limited resources ($, time, hires) to meet outrageous objectives..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Top management (C-levels) are being "yes" to death by some clueless overpaid mid-management (Directors, VPs etc.). Hence, they do not have a true gauge and the ground on why people think and the level of employee engagement.. The only way to explain is that they don't even care or they don't know enough to notice it.
