I worked at Tyco full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Family environment; vacation time increases every 5 years; belief in what the company supplies to customer

Cons

Old boys club; no staff to cover you when your vacation time increases; company doesn't care if staff has to work 7 days a week to try to keep up. No koodos for good work but lots of crap for not meeting expectations

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Much more thorough investigation of management, listen to the dispatch, support, IT staff more - take into consideration what they have to offer

    Pros

    -Unlimited sick days
-Vital values system is taken very seriously
    -Social benefits

    Cons

    -Salary below average
-Management always trying to take more, never offering anything
    -Minimum vacation
    -Unable to manage company growth
-Unreasonable work load (too much calls, no time for anything else)
-Extreme lack of communication within company
-Unable to keep good employees for a long time

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop always thinking short term, think about keeping your employees and offer something from time to time. Being a public company and showing reports shouldn't mean completely neglecting all long term effects.
