I worked at Tyco full-time (less than an year)

Pros

Decent salary and compensation packages for sales people, more benefits then you can shake a stick at

Cons

Difficult to schedule team members for each project review (at time of bid or on closing of sale). Too many sales people over stepping sales leads. Large contracts and small service contracts and SIR's are all competing. The Baltimore, Maryland and Dulles, Virginia office always having territory conflicts and job assignments. It's too confusing and frustrating to fight a territory battle and the paper trails are longer then most jobs allow for lead time in the small service side of things.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Shore up the territories so that all of an area fulls under the same office. Help in expediting the paper process for approvals from management. Often times small service jobs don't have several days to wait for an answer when the competitor is ready to contract the same day and start ASAP.
