Tyco Safety Products – “Tyco Too Large”

Pros

The salaries at Tyco are very competitive. The compensation packages aren't bad either. Another reason to work Tyco are the many locations and offices located across the world. If you ever needed to transfer, there's a good chance that a Tyco would be nearby.

Cons

The size of the company is too large and you are treated as just a number. This I think is the big contributor to the low morale seen through out the company. The lack of direction seen in the sensormatic division is a major drawback. Because the many SBU's are part of the large Tyco conglomerate, this limit the choices of the presidents of each division in their quest to grow the company.

Advice to Senior Management

Senior management should try boosting employee morale somehow.
