Pros

Enjoyable work environment
High priority of incorporating interns into the team
Lots of team building
Networking with other business leaders on different teams is relatively easy and highly encouraged
Easy access to managers/directors
Open door policy
Opportunity to move around in the company (to different business areas)

Cons

Some lack of knowledge sharing and development of interns
Can be left with nothing to do at times - must know your strengths and utilize them to the fullest!
Can be competitive and some favoritism/politics within the teams
Lack of clear career path and little room for advancement past programmer or sr. programmer positions
Top management seems a bit unstable - as illustrated by the unexpected departure of CEO Dick Bond earlier this year, CFO left in '08, etc

Advice to Senior Management

Have a higher priority for developing interns, teach them any needed skills or knowledge they may be lacking, more training, have a clear career path mapped out, ensure interns have meaningful work.
