I have been working at Tyson Foods full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

-CEO, Donnie Smith, is the best possible guy for a job. He lives the culture he preaches and empowers his employees
-Vision is great, Tyson knows where it wants to go and has the people and balance sheet to get there
-Personal development is sensational with opportunities in numerous business units and levels of management

    Cons

-Pay could be much more competitive, typically lagging 10-20% behind Wal Mart which is only 20 minutes away
-Helps to have grown up knowing folks here or have family at Tyson since the corporate community outside of Tyson Fresh Meats is all in NW Arkansas

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

-Keep living the culture you preach
-Try to get pay up 10+ % to keep Tyson from losing so many employees who take lateral roles in other companies
