Former Employee - General Manager in Houston, TX

Pros

Work your own property, meet a lot of nice people, help relieve moving stress, qualifying for monthly bonus is a plus, apartment and utilities are provided

Cons

Working 12-13 hour days, have to work weekends and holidays, health insurance has high deductible, outside work in extremely hot conditions, endless to-do lists from MCP, getting phone calls from storage customers in the middle of the night, having multiple one way trucks dropped off on property overnight, house keepers that make their own schedule and upper management - when questioned - says they have been with us a long time so we're lenient with their hours/days,

Doesn't Recommend
Negative Outlook
No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Easy. Very good general customer service opportunity for those that are a novice. Very flexible hours!

    Cons

The pay is simply to low to be worth anything more than a beginners job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Rise the pay to around $11 hour. This will allow you to recruit more dedicated personnel and reduce over all hours paid.
