I have been working at U.S. Bank full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Call center banking is a lot faster paced than branch banking, so if you have a tendency to get bored, this could be an option for you. The pay is competitive, the incentives are good, there's a high level of camaderie, management is approachable, and, as there's no face to face customer contact, jeans are acceptable. U.S. Bank's community involvement is commendable, too.

Cons

Chances are good you're going to start on the phones. You'd better have a thick skin, because you're going to be called every name in the book, no matter how good you are. There are definitely quotas, be they CPH (calls per hour - think 20) or UPH (units per hour - separate jobs to be completed). Finding a balance between quality and productivity can be a definite challenge.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

There's disparity in attendance policy within 24 Hour Banking - some teams consider a three day consecutive stretch of sick days one occurrence, while others consider them three separate occurrences. With only six allotted per year, two bouts of bronchitis can send an otherwise good employee packing.

I have been working at U.S. Bank full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

they don't do layoffs thanks to their new ceo

    Cons

they falsify their intentions as far as putting you on a permanent basis when they know they have no intentions of doing so..also fire employees in the 60+ age bracket to make room for 18 yr olds who just graduated from high school and have no job experience to save money..they make you go through temp agencies unless you "know someone" who can get you hired on immediately

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

get rid of some of your managers in these departments to avoid legal action

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
