U.S. Bank – “U.S. Bank! All right, I guess.”

Pros

Overall, I believe U.S. Bank in general was a decent place to work, given the benefits package. It offers several options, including dental and vision. It offers a 401(k), as well as decent employee discounts on things like mortgages, loans, etc.

The company website was very informative and they ran some interesting contests .

Cons

Hourly wages are slightly lower than competing banks. There is a lot of pressure to "make your incentive", which isn't really much of an incentive, and the focus on customers that is supposed to be their five star guarantee is often missed because of this.

Also, there seemed to be a problem with some of the lower levels getting their positions because of favoritism rather than ability, attitude, or work ethic.

Advice to Senior Management

Pay more attention to your front line of customer service: the tellers.
