    I worked at U.S. Bank full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    Positive environment, friendly customers, good incentives

    Cons

    Not all branches are the same; experience working for in-store vs. brick and mortar branches is very different. Also, branch managers set the tone...get a bad one, and you will be miserable-but don't complain or you will be gone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Happy employees = happy customers. You don't have to script that.

    I have been working at U.S. Bank full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    "If you are a great manipulator and very good at office politics you can go very far."
    In the retail bank you don't have much pressure for sales whatsoever. On the small business side of the bank you have unrealistic sales objectives and goals.

    Cons

    Wages = Low
    Incentives = Almost non-existent and insulting to any seasoned professional
    Management = Status-Quo lacking in even the most basic business management ideas
    Un-Educated work force.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire unskilled hard working people that lack experience and US Bank has a better chance at retaining people that are willing to work for low wages and little opportunity for advancement.
