I have been working at U.S. Bank part-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Wonderful people, management really cares about ideas or complaints and really do try to make a difference. As a part of US BANK Home Mortgage , products offered are wonderful and very competitive .

Cons

Underwriting turn times are too long. Customers and agents get frustrated.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more Underwriters and better appraisers .

I worked at U.S. Bank full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits and pay are good and luring. Product set is good with a lot to offer customers.

    Cons

Management play games with peoples' lives. I've never worked for a bank more willing and anxious to fire mid-level employees. The bank is all about lining their own pockets by cutting expenses o help their bottom line rather than improving their processes, rates and terms. Not competitive compared to any local banks or credit unions in our area. They also force a lot of out of state travel (and threaten your job if you can't do it for family reasons). This region is run by a sociopath. [They] have fired and run off more employees in the last three years than anyone the prior 12 years of my career.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Force long term management change in WA. Get people out of the bank who have been there more than 30 years! They're out of touch with younger generations and new ways of doing business.
