It was a very short time, at a very bad time, for banks at the time.

Pros

Stability, benefits, friendly and team oriented co-workers. Management made the most prudent decisions and the bank really did better than any other during the 'economic downturn'.

Cons

Staffing levels for the branch were too low for the busiest branch in the state. There was not nearly enough time to work leads, as the time was sucked up by working the customers in the lobby, which aren't sitting around waiting for a banker (at least the ones you want to be working with).

Advice to Management

When it comes to risk, security, compliance, and ratios- stay the course and keep it up. When it comes to investing in modernizing customer and front-line employee- step it up!

    Pros

Good training system. dedicated team whose only function is to train everyone the same or similarly. In addition to the training team, there are several "continuing education" opportunities to enhance further professional growth. good work/life balance.

    Cons

Salary is sub-par. Senior Management seems to like to promote from within in order to get by with offering a minimal salary. some policies that are in place seem counter productive. Emphasis is placed more on completing reports that "prove" production instead of letting the numbers speak for themselves.

    Advice to Management

    Re-evaluate your policies around paperwork.

    Pros

Decent benefits. Anyone with ambition and a good personality can move up. Very friendly and supportive work environment. Incentives are not hard to hit and can pay pretty well. the branch i work at is very fast paced which is very nice. Quarterly campaigns are very fun, especially if you win!

    Cons

Starting from the bottom can take a long time. Sales pressure is a definite reality. starting wages are a bit low, but moving up isn't hard to do.

    Advice to Management

stop printing full account numbers on receipts and you will save customers and employees a lot of headaches.
