No opinion of CEO

Pros

- great job for a college student - great pay for a college student - work well around schedule - great first time sales job

Cons

It took forever to get "certified" to be commissioned. Worked 4 months not commissioned doing the same work as those being commissioned without making the extra money.

Advice to Management

You get what you put into your employees. It takes a decent amount of training and hard work to be proficient in sales at U.S. Cellular- treating employees like disposable, clock-punchers working on the line at McDonalds isn't appreciated.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

There are some wonderful, caring people that work there. I have made lifelong friends there and feel that most of the people are there for the right reasons.

    Cons

The company claims to be something that it is not. Their catch phrase is "Believe in something better" and they claim to do things differently-but they are now making decisions that are definitely NOT in the best interest of their employees or their customers.

    Advice to Management

Walk the walk- don't just talk the talk. If you are going to have supervisors (coaches) evaluating your performance- it helps if they have actually done the job! Realize you are not AT&T and you can't raise the prices of your plans and expect your employees to make potential customers believe that "we do things differently" by asking questions that are WAY too personal for phone service and keeping them on the phone for an hour "trying to make a connection".

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Great Salary and benefits. Can be fun to work here if you are successful. New CEO that really seems to get how to do business in the real world.

    Cons

Merchandising is terrible and cheap! We look outdated and have slow systems. Both make it difficult to look professional.

    Advice to Management

Retrofit the stores with the updated system enhancements.
