Former Employee - Retail Wireless Consultant in Midwest City, OK

I worked at U.S. Cellular full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Best call quality in their markets, extremely customer focused, used to have excellent employee/employer relationships, used to have an above standard commission structure, used to have excellent employee recognition.

    Cons

Commission was cut in half, micro managed every employee, increased duties of sales consultants without increasing pay. In fact, they took commission away. Promotions were given to less qualified individuals.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try understanding that without sales people, there would be no increased customer base. If you're going to cut pay, take it from the people who make 6 figures instead of people who work mostly on commission. Before implementing policies and regulations, try asking the employees who deal with customers on a daily basis how the new regulations or policies might impact them or customers.
