Develop lower/middle ranking employees. Show leadership, not just rhetoric. Empower employees to make decisions rather than be afraid.

Wealth management good, rest of company needs work

I have been working at UBS

    Pros

Addition of Bob McCann has help make wealth management the driving force of the company. WM continues to get better and clients are taken care of well.

    Cons

Investment banking division is not well run. Tough to get good employees when compensation isn't good. Equity research needs improvement as other firms on the street have better research. All comes down to compensation. Compensation across the firm is the biggest weakness.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Tie compensation to employee performance more effectively. Make wealth management more of the company's total revenue. Have more opportunities for career growth.
