UBS – “Best of UBS”

Pros

Great environment. It is hard to get a job but no one never leaves. Good and stable work place with lot of employee benefits. Infrastructure is often one of the best in market.

Cons

Too big corporation, so work is specialized and narrow which might hurt when leaving UBS. Also the job pressure is very high as any error is prone to huge loss to the bank. This often leaves people to work under extreme caution at the expense of work effectiveness. More like government job as external people get frustrated in dealing with.

Advice to Senior Management

Allow easier approach for internal transfers even if employee is not familiar with new role. It helps employee to learn new skills while good for UBS to re-use existing staff skill as technical skills can always easy to learn.
