I have been working at UBS as an intern (more than a year)

Pros

Very flexible schedule, some interesting projects to work on. A great introduction to what its like to work for a corporate wealth management firm.

Cons

Interns have many restrictions, which sometimes limits the types of projects you can do. You definitely tend to get stuck with a lot of boring activities.

I worked at UBS full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great 6-week global training program with all recent graduates (internationally).
Competitive post-undergraduate starting salary for the financial sector ($60K + $10K signing bonus).

    Cons

In addition to the constant layoffs, much of the best talent has voluntarily departed due to poor management and overall negative view for company future.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lack of stable management together with poor choices in the tapping of new business heads and the promotion of individuals for bureaucratic reasons has resulted in even poorer business performance and the deterioration of the general work environment.

    Pros

Decent work quality of life experience.

    Cons

The place has become a very depressing and unmotivating place to work over the last 4 years. Things do not seem to be getting better.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to value hard working and dedicated employees and build a culture that rewards that. Identify the talent.
