I have been working at UBS full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

good staff, ok cantina, good internal education program

    Cons

poor management, cutting costs at the wrong places, no salary rises even when promoted, constantly moving target (carrot-donkey-syndrom)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Value the people that actually keeps the business running and not some pricks from other banks coming to "help" UBS.

I have been working at UBS full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Generally speaking a good group of people to work with

    Cons

Senior Management are spending too much time trying to keep old systems and processes going. There is an incredible amount of dead wood. No-one seems willing to face the situation that the legacy IT systems now take so much maintainance, are extremely costly, and just add risk but turning the company into an IT dinosaur. They need to dump these systems as there are better and cheaper systems available off the shelf

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop cycling senior management around positions, prune out some layers, dump legacy systems, listen to the recommendations of the experts - the people you employee - not the bean counters

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
