I have been working at UBS full-time for more than a year

Pros – - The firm is clearly taking the right steps to reposition itself as a premier global wealth/asset manager
- Unwinding capital intensive positions in the Investment Bank is of utmost importance
- Streamlining of middle and back office support is key to lower expenses
- Good people, although the firm should take advantage of the buyers market in terms of talent and acquire leading people via competitive compensation.

Cons – - Huge, bureaucratic institution
- Everything passes through Switzerland
- Slow moving, reactionary

Advice to Senior Management – Compensation matters very much. You will not move on and repair the firm if you have high turnover as a result of uncompetitive compensation packages.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
