I have been working at UBS full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Not much pros here. It might be a good place to learn, but get out after a year.

    Cons

    Poor pay.
    Promotions with no pay increases
    Lack of mobility
Lack of respect from middle and senior management
Company is losing key talent due to a joke of a bonus structure

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start treating employees better and identify key talent. Treat employees like grown adults. Pay better and be more competitive rest of the street.

I have been working at UBS full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great peers, many very knowledgeable and willing to teach. Very understanding work/life balance in some areas.

    Cons

Pay scale compared with the rest of the street is an embarassment. Future path of Finance is ridiculous and senior management is ill prepared for the herds of good people that are currently leaving. Senior management often appears cocky and indifferent and they assume they can just "tick the box" and everything will be ok.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat subordinates better. Understand that there are good, smart people on the ground who are more than capable of taking this Bank back to the prominance it once enjoyed. Stop acting like a war General.
