UBS – “Tense place to work in the last three years”

Pros

Great people to work with. Co-workers in various departments were always willing to pitch in.

Cons

There were lay-offs at least three times a year since 2007. As a result, employees no longer believe in the brand or in building a career with UBS. The new CEO of Wealth Management seems to be trying to turn UBS into another Merrill Lynch and there is no value on what has been done in the past.

Advice to Senior Management

UBS Wealth Management should not be made into a mini-Merrill Lynch. Employees need to be given a reason to believe in the current management and the UBS brand.
