    Famous professors, cutting edge research, good on resume, very good if you are considering grad / professional school. Good benefits.

    Cons

    Low pay, work experience largely dependent on how involved is the PI, can be fast paced or can be slow throughout. The security of the job is dependent on PI's ability to win over grant funding.

    great research opportunities. great on-campus seminars. curriculum caliber solid. great collaborations between labs. most research is driven by students. an intellectually stimulating environment.

    Cons

    expensive to live in San Francisco. no undergraduate programs. time to graduation can be longer than 5 years for most students.
