Pros

Good health and retirement benefits, stable employment, and top notch research and clinical MD's and health professionals.

Cons

Very political. Upward mobility is difficult. The glass ceiling here is real.

I have been working at UC San Francisco full-time

    Pros

Good benefits package (PTO, healthcare). Opportunity to work at different campuses across the city. Cutting edge science. Campuses at interesting locations.

    Cons

UCSF has become a high-stress, high-tension, money-first atmosphere. Employees consistently work long hours, and turn-over is extremely high (especially in centralized areas). Flexibility in hours and telecommuting have become nonexistent. Examine closely the atmosphere of the department you're considering before accepting a position.
