UCSF Medical is a fine place to work if you are a tenured faculty member

Adjunct Faculty (Current Employee) San Francisco, CA

ProsHas a great reputation. People work hard and are very bright. True acceptance of diversity.

ConsThe administration is not good about promoting/supporting employees who are not tenured faculty.

Advice to Senior ManagementWould be good to have a formal review process and some oversight regarding career development for employees.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

    Reality

Postdoctoral (Current Employee) San Francisco, CA

I have been working at UCSF Medical Center

Pros: Investigators are leaders in their fields of study and if one can afford the low pay as a sacrifice in order to work there, all… Cons: Work like a slave, no security, low salary in a very expensive city. If an international post-doc, UCSF uses Visa status as a means… Advice to Senior Management: Show some respect and appreciate the hard work of staff No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
