A career ladder

Licensed Vocational Nurse (Current Employee)
San Francisco, CA

ProsSuch a great place to work. Great benefits, great reputation. If you want an opportunity to grow and learn, work here.

ConsFor the amount of structure at UCSF, there is very little useful orientation to specific jobs, such as nursing. It is very much a 'learn as you go' sort of operation which, in nursing, can be detrimental.

Advice to Senior ManagementOrient new employees a bit more gracefully.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I have been working at UCSF Medical Center

Pros: It really depends on which department you work for but… Cons: ...however with the changes to the benefits changing, people are leaving if they don't have much time invested. Pay is… Advice to Senior Management: Respect and invest in the staff beneath you. You're losing a lot of good people who you train and then leave. Continue to hire… More
