Good environment for pursuing graduate studies but may be lacking in support systems for married students

Research Assistant (Former Employee)
Gainesville, FL

ProsGainesville has great weather--mostly, people are generally very friendly and accomodating, and the Chemistry departmental office does its best to ensure the student's success.

ConsYou'd mostly have to relocate after graduation, especially for science majors. Not many companies present here except for one HUGE university

Advice to Senior ManagementMost of the seniour professors in chemistry could be more accessible, and generally collaboration within the department and with other departments should be encouraged!
