Pros

Great colleagues, awesome benefits, wonderful offices!

Cons

It's not easy to transition from a clinical setting to an office setting for those coming from an AMC.

    Pros

Very intelligent and organized coworkers. They have a significant amount of talent in the frontline. Excellent access to data, sand relationships with UNiversity Hospitals. Good middle management. Excellent opportunities for flexible schedule, but workload gets to heavy to manage 4 day work weeks or anything else abbreviated.

    Cons

Senior management is extraordinarily disengaged with both the members of the organization and the rank and file, in spite of it being a very small company. People are given promotions based on relationships with 3 key people in the company and not talent or effort. It is an academic company that runs like academia. Lots of information, but little practical application.

    Advice to Management

Get out and see what your people are doing. Decide if you are a sales or service organization, and stop making sweeping, lofty and uneducated promises you cannot keep...or recruit sufficient staff to meet your promises. The company is extremely top heavy. For 250 employees, there are far too many VPs and far too few workers under each VP. Spend your resources for the next 2 years on developing the robust data you have into useful tools for your members with practical applications. Become known as an organization that under promises and over delivers. Engage with your members on more than 2 dimensions, and make yourself indispensable to them.

In the beginning I had a wonderful experience, but the atmosphere changed with a new CEO on board.

    Pros

Great benefits and PTO. Work/life balance depends on who you report to. If a secretary asks to work from home, he/she needs to take an online course for approval.

    Cons

As with some senior level decision makers you have the good and bad. There are a handful who are downright impolite to employees and HR is horribly rude.

    Advice to Management

HR needs to attend sensitivity training and learn to treat all employees equally. Company requirement was "Crucial Conversations", however, it never seemed to be implemented. Waste of time.
