    Pros

If you despise change, high quality work, and have an affinity to office politics this is the place for you! If not, at least there's a good deal of PTO.

    Cons

UJA is an organization that is stuck in its ways, often forgetting that it is the 21st century. Decisions are made very slowly if at all, change is non-existent, and technology is under-utilized. People there are cliquey and like to play office politics. Many of those in senior positions are there through connections and other means not reflective of their skills. Some that have been there for decades are utterly incompetent.

Hard work is rarely recognized and is rewarded even less often. Work/life balance is poor because rather than replacing staff that leaves, others are given more responsibilities with no change in title or pay.

    Advice to Management

There is a lot of rhetoric about making UJA a great place to work but no true effort is exerted in realizing this goal. As long as people at the top can get away with showing no respect to other employees, this will not change. UJA needs to focus on hiring and retaining talented staff, but in order for that to happen the organizational culture and compensation practices must be overhauled.
