Corporate is out of touch with its clinical employees but overall the hospitals provide quality care.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Pittsburgh, PA

Prosjob security, money, prestige, experience, global presence

Conslong hours, short lunches, under apperciated

Advice to Senior ManagementYou cannot afford to stop accepting Highmark insurance in 2013 as a significant portion of patients have it. Secondly, corporate must realize that quantity does not produce quality, you cannot have it both ways.

Nursing Assistant (Former Employee) Pittsburgh, PA

    I worked at UPMC

Pros: -You can pick your own shifts. -If you are outgoing, you can interact with doctors and physician assistants that will give you opportunities to shadow… Cons: Morale is way down. Understaffed and cannot keep up with the hotel like stay that is expected. High stress. Management is out of touch. UPMC… Advice to Senior Management: UPMC used to be a good place to work, but with new policies and advertisements in place, the hospital is burning a lot of good… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
