I have been working at UPS as a contractor

Pros

good pay, with a lot of overtime for those that need the extra semester cash. NICE BONUS at the end.

Cons

Very menial work, that is redundant and boring at times. Really depends on the driver you work with.

I worked at UPS full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Financially stable company, great benefits.

    Cons

Death by conference calls and reports. Micromanages all aspects of the business instead of allowing their sales force to do their jobs. Internal struggles with other departments such as pricing. Because of segregation of departments and individual measurements does not allow the business to be customer focused. Upper management has no respect for front line sales force and will discard you instead of taking a look into fixing issues internally that hold back an otherwise fantastic sales force.

    Advice to Management

Changes should be realized from the top down instead of changing what is not an issue.
