I have been working at UPS part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

$1.00 Pay raise after 90 working days.
$0.50 Pay raise 1 year after hire date.
A chance to get an extra dollar raise for doing a skilled task from the first day.
    Safety is a big concern.
Lots of moving around better than the gym.
Don't really have to interact with other employees if you don't want to, you can get in and out.
Give out bottled water often. Once in awhile there is a BBQ.

    Cons

HOT! HOT! working enviroment with lots of truck exhaust and loud noise.
No benefits for the first full year, 18 months for dependants.
    Odd working hours. 3AM -9AM, or 5PM- 9:30PM.
Other employees will let you do their work for them, or employees do not follow safety rules or even dress code in many cases and management will say nonthing.
    Lots of profanity!!!!!
Management is not always following the Union contract.
The time cards are not always accurate, so you have to keep on top of it, the mistake is never in your favor so it almost seems like it is done on purpose.
No place to put any personal items but you own pockets <- gets drenched with sweat.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some employees do a lot more than others but are never recognized for there outstanding efforts.
Managment should be able to give merit based raises or some reward for the guys who put it all out every day. Give a few random drug test now and then.

I have been working at UPS part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

They have full-time benefits for part-time workers. You can join the Teamsters Union if you wish. Many shifts available.

    Cons

Benefits aren't available for 1 year. Work is inside a warehouse with no air conditioning. Hard work (lifting and moving packages.)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

We could work harder if we weren't in the heat
