Pros

Professional atmosphere, interesting industry, a well-respected company in its field. The Brussels region office is small enough to get to know most people and build a network within different countries. Young, international and dynamic workforce at specialist and supervisor level.

Cons

Career paths are not clear, people are moved around into different jobs as needed. Old fashioned corporate style means it can be a bit stuffy and political. The company is so big, it's hard to get information or find out how to do things sometimes.

Advice to Management

Treat your "top notchers" better or you will lose them.

    Pros

Great company to work for. Most employees are very positive and helpful.
    IT management are fantastic.
Company ethics and ideals are well founded.

    Cons

Management in other depts can be unhelpful and demanding.
Higher management seem have lost connection with company ideals regarding employees.

    Advice to Management

Chances are you came up through the ranks. If your management were helpful - remember it and appreciate your reportees. If they were not - remember that and don't make the same mistake. Remember positively motivated employees make your job easier - you have enough hardship from higher management

I have been working at UPS part-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Pays 100% of tuition at certain schools & book reimbursement up to $60 per class. You also get $500 bonus for completing at least 6 credit hours per semester. Plus, if you stay in the union you get free health benefits for part-time employees.

    Cons

No full-time jobs available until after many years of service (15+). Third shift is the only shift that pays for school.

    Advice to Management

Could work more with students, but definitely a great place to work.
