I have been working at UPS full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Top pay rates, stable job

    Cons

Extremely long hours, Have to choose between your integrity or your success.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The job is tough. The hours are long and hard, but they are made longer and harder because of the defective dispatch tools. Try talking to one of your front line dispatchers in a large center about what they need to be more successful and cut down their hours. You'll find that your vaunted technology is actually pretty crappy. The only thing that makes UPS successful is that the competition is actually, God help them, worse at it.

I have been working at UPS part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

-Some of the most funny people I've ever worked with.
-You get a pretty good workout. (Was filling up 3-4 of the mid sized trucks every weekday morning).
-Paid up to $3,000 a year for school. ($1,500 every main semester)

    Cons

-Supervisors always bothering you when your working as hard/fast as you can.
-Some of the other pack handlers on my belt were working smart (lazy) and I had to keep catching the packages they were missing.
-If it is busy you get no breaks and you end up working for 8-9hrs straight. (During Christmas)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't threaten your employees so much for being unable to get to work with their non-4WD junker car in 2ft of snow.
