Pros

Benefits, Stability, Easy work life schedule, opportunity for growth, company will take care of you, income, lots of opportunity for growth but must be open to moving and travel. This is a great company if you put your whole heart into it.

Cons

Politics, Company is run by engineers not by sales and revenues, Old School Company Culture, Slow moving giant, Too big that decisions take too long to get made and when they are implemented they are obsolete, suffers from design rigamortis, they make promises to you and make you keep believing you will be promoted but someone else may due to politics or a position just may never open because no one wants to retire. You will have to move around in order to move up. If you want to contribute your own ideas or ways of thinking, or ideas, this is not the company for you. They are like the 5th branch of the military and you have to be willing to say yes and don't ask questions.

Advice to Management

Stop taking analytics of your employees and studying all these metrics. If you want to know what works best or how to make an improvement, just ask us. Wish the company would take more of our opinions into consideration. Also wish we would invest more on internal technology.

    Pros

-Great for an entry-level seasonal position, compensation was $12.88/hr.

-My dispatcher and assigned driver were a pleasure to work with.

-Work is simple yet involved, provides great exercise! Involves: Lifting packages up to 70 lbs unassisted, constant walking, organizing packages in back of truck, logging upcoming and delivered packages in the DIAD board, and keeping a friendly demeanor!

    Cons

-Most helpers will not have a solid schedule or permanent driver.

-Management can seem out of touch with the guys out on the road.

-No guarantee to stay with company after seasonal work, if you're persistent apply for package handling positions and you should get preference.

-Work is unsuited for the lazy or extremely unfit, you're moving and using your arms & legs at a constant basis. Even athletic individuals will be sore into their first week.

    Advice to Management

-Give your drivers room to breathe, they really work their butts off to reach nigh impossible holiday time quotas; this can mean skipping breaks.

    Pros

Great pay, great benefits, fast paced and interesting work, lots of time off. Looks great on a resume if you are in management, lots of opportunities to move up within the company as well.

    Cons

Likely to work either evenings or overnight if you are in operations. May have to wait to be promoted to full-time work if you are part-time.

    Advice to Management

Invest more in your people, less in the numbers.
