Pros

Benefits, Stability, Easy work life schedule, opportunity for growth, company will take care of you, income, lots of opportunity for growth but must be open to moving and travel. This is a great company if you put your whole heart into it.

Cons

Politics, Company is run by engineers not by sales and revenues, Old School Company Culture, Slow moving giant, Too big that decisions take too long to get made and when they are implemented they are obsolete, suffers from design rigamortis, they make promises to you and make you keep believing you will be promoted but someone else may due to politics or a position just may never open because no one wants to retire. You will have to move around in order to move up. If you want to contribute your own ideas or ways of thinking, or ideas, this is not the company for you. They are like the 5th branch of the military and you have to be willing to say yes and don't ask questions.

Advice to Management

Stop taking analytics of your employees and studying all these metrics. If you want to know what works best or how to make an improvement, just ask us. Wish the company would take more of our opinions into consideration. Also wish we would invest more on internal technology.

    Pros

Good work experience. If you want to learn about how poor business is managed, then here you go.

    Cons

Underpaid by the amount of hours you work. You only move up in the company based on who you know, not how well you are at your job They stress on college education for promotion, but it could take up to 3 to 6 years to get promoted.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with your staff. Stop acting like everyone is beneath you. Your company cannot exist without the hourly workers.

    Pros

Good pay for part time, decent benefits, and fast paced work (if you like that type of atmosphere).

    Cons

Bad communication, no one knows what is going on from the top to bottom. Numbers, numbers, numbers, numbers....the most important thing at UPS. UPS can do no wrong, customers are generally wrong, and employees don't care. That's the the UPS way. Training is laughable, the term that comes to mind is "thrown in the fire". If you are full time, they own you. Left on own terms.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your managers and employees, start from the ground up and not the other way around. Quit with the corporate mentality, get employees to actually care about what they are doing. Instead of promoting by seniority, promote by those who put actually effort into their work.
