Former Employee - Part Time Package Handler in Bloomington, MN

I worked at UPS part-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Benefits were amazing, although I've heard there have been some major changes to the benefit structure as of recent- longer wait periods etc. Be prepared to work hard, be efficient and take direction quickly

Cons

Hours which sometimes were so few they barley covered expenses to get to and from.

Former Employee - Driver (Service Provider) in Phoenix, AZ

I worked at UPS full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Job Security, Great Pay, Great Benefits, Ample Vacation Time, Unionized, Great Retirement. I retired at age 55! Almost all promotions are done from within the company. If you're looking to climb the corporate ladder, this is a good place to do it.

    Cons

Hard Work, Long Hours, High Stress.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

UPS has recently been centralizing it's management policies. I think this a mistake as it limits innovation & adaptation at the local level.
