Pros

UPS provides excellent management opportunities. Hours are long and management within the operations work very hard. The salary, benefits and stock make the hard work well worth it. Also, UPS is one of the only companies left that offers retirement benefits. Very smart company in hard economic times. Diversity is very big in UPS and females and males are working along side each other in the operations.

Cons

Work hours especially during holiday season.

Advice to Management

keep doing what your doing.

    Pros

*Good Pay *Good Benefits *No work goes home with you *If your health holds up...you can retire there

    Cons

*Many of your co-workers don't understand the importance of the union *Managers are only interested in production *Very adversarial environment between union and management

    Advice to Management

Make the transition more appealing for experienced Drivers, etc. that may want to change to a different job classification. A good employee is an asset. Unfortunately, it appears UPS believes a thousand people are waiting in line for any Union employee's job, so who cares whether they like the any of the conditions or not?
