  2.

UPS is a good place to work with a lot of opportunities, but it has an old-school corporate culture.

I have been working at UPS

    Pros

it is very difficult to get fired, there is good job security, there are a lot of opportunities within the organization, they rotate people a lot which helps give you perspective and broad experience

    Cons

bureaucratic, heavy-handed management, limited opportunities for voluntary transfers, deteriorating respect for employees, old-school management styles, seniority is more important than performance, having to perform manual labor during peak season

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

UPS leadership needs to be more transparent and adaptive to the changing business environment and the younger workers. UPS should also give more authority to employees so that they can be more effective. We need to attract new talent, and we can't do that with the current culture and benefits that we have today.
