I have been working at URS full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Very qualified and passionate group of people; diverse work experience; ability to transfer to almost any city in the US; access to staff corporate-wide provides amazing opportunities for growing niche markets/supporting any client requirement in house.

    Cons

A large publicly traded firm comes with bureaucracy that there are no work arounds for. Mandatory annual training requirements and PM training are heavy and not as personalized as they could be.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Mandatory and PM training could be more personal and tailored. Pursuit of smaller clients and projects should be encouraged and rewarded more. Small projects often lead to larger opportunities if the time can be invested.

I have been working at URS as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Though I was hired as an intern for a specific project, I had many opportunities to assist on other projects in the meantime. There are several projects going on at any given time, so there is a lot of room for learning new skills as well as eliminating monotony and boredom.

    Cons

Not all offices are created equal.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
