    Pros

Teamwork. It wasn't hard to motivate people to be part of the team and get the job done. Due to officer assignment rotations, your bosses changed frequently. Financial assistance to obtain a Masters degree was good. Living in Europe for 5 years was a benefit too.

    Cons

Short notice deployments that could last 7 days or 180 days. Years of congressional special interest rules makes budgeting and procurement a real difficult event. Frequent reassignments made setting up a household or getting an advanced degree a real challange.

  2. It was only the best experience of my life.

    Pros

Job security, dental and medical care, good pay, travel opportunity, nice facilities, and great people. Some people will become life long friends.

    Cons

Time away from family when deployed.

    Advice to Management

Stay involved with mentoring the younger Airman. Have a good Awards and Decoration Program. Airman deserve to be recognized for their accomplishments. If you want to keep your Airman motivated and unit morale high, submit Airman for Awards and Decs.
