    Pros

The pay is good, along with the benefits. You never really have any doubt where you stand in comparison to your peers.

    Cons

Depending on the job you get, you could kiss your social life, and life outside of work goodbye.

    Pros

The opporturnity to travel and meet people. Learn from a diverse group of people and be part of a highly valuable team. Promotion opportunities require lots of studying and lead to more pay and responsibilities. The more rank that is gained the more rewarding the positions become. The job is extremely rewarding. Communication with team members and other high ranking individuals happens on a daily basis. The tasks assigned are often times are high visibility but can be a bit stressful at times.

    Cons

There is the potential to be away from family and friends for an extended amount of time. Some locations are very remote. Physical training requirements drive promotion and job security. To much emphasis is placed in this area even though it is an important function of the job.
