Don't lose track of where you come from and how things were when you first joined. It was about the people and the mission.

    I have been working at US Air Force full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Stable employment with excellent opportunity for advancement. Immediate pension upon retirement at 20 years of service. Great opportunity for technical training or to obtain your degree.

    Cons

    Deployment is tough at times. Being away from your family and friends for extended periods of time however does build character.

    Pros

    Met some great folks from all over the world.
    Got to travel worldwide. Pay is fair. Stat single and see the world first.

    Cons

    Can have really long hours, deployments. People who have career length medical waivers.
    Noticed some favoritism along the way, which lowered morale quite a bit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Too many new rules are driving possible career airmen out after one or two enlistments.
