Pros

Great Opportunity to learn how to lead people . Job Security Healthcare -- even though you have to deal with TriCare, I don't believe there is a better network or coverage available at this time. Educational benefits are great.

Cons

Ops tempo and deployments takes a toll on the family. Few jobs translate directly to civilian careers.

Predictive career progression; fast-burners will feel held-back by the archaic promotion system.
